WEDDINGS
Marriage is an outward way of expressing the love that you have for one another and so you deserve to mark the beginning of this stage in your life with a perfect day. Whatever your age, culture, gender or sexuality.
I will collaborate with you to plan and deliver a meaningful and unique day that is truly yours. It will be an unforgettable day of the celebration of your love together.
There will be an opportunity for you to create and write your own vows if you chose to. Allowing you the freedom and opportunity to really say what you want to say to your future spouse.
We can look at a range of memorable acts that you might want to include in your ceremony, such as Unity Sand, Hand Fasting, Ring Warming etc.
I am happy to bring in any religious elements to your ceremony if that is what you want as well, as this is something that cannot be done at the Registry Office.

Special Ceremony Elements
(At additional cost)
Signing & Witness Ceremony
A brief element involving the couple and 2-4 witnesses. Each in turn sign a keepsake parchment, which is then presented to the newlyweds.
Unity Sand Ceremony
The Unity Sand Ceremony is ideal for any wedding. This element symbolises the joining of the couple. This ritual is particularly special if you have young children that you would like to be involved in your ceremony.
Wine Box / Love Letter
Before the wedding, each of you will write a love letter to one another and seal it in an envelope, to be placed in the wine box. Choose your favourite bottle of wine or other drink of choice, along with any other memorabilia and place them in the wine box. During the wedding ceremony you will seal the box and vow not to open the box until an anniversary of your choice, hopefully, reminding you of why you fell in love and chose to be together in the first place.
Wine Ceremony
This element is a symbol of the two of you coming together as one. You can choose to pour one white glass and one red glass in to one glass, to create a blush that you will both drink form. Or you can pour wine into one glass that you will both drink from. Alternative drinks can also be used!
Ring Warming Ceremony
In the ring warming ceremony your wedding rings are passed amongst the attending guests in a pouch or other container. Guests are invited to pass on a thought or good wishes to you both as the rings pass through their hands.
Rose Ceremony
A beautiful option for including mothers, grandmothers or other important women in your lives. As a couple you would present roses to them, as a way of showing appreciation for their support. Alternatively, these could be the first gifts you present to one another.
Hand Wrapping Ceremony / Hand Fasting
The origin of “tying the knot”. A Celtic / Pagan tradition where the hands are tied with ribbons or cloth in the shape of the infinity symbol to symbolise the bringing together of the two hearts in a union of strength and unity forever.
Unity Candle / Lantern
A long lasting ritual with a universal meaning across all cultures and traditions. The light symbolises the joining of the couple in marriage as well as the joining of their two original families.
Naming Ribbon
A piece of ribbon is used to bind together the one being named and all guests. Once done, all those bound declare the name together “We name you …”
Wishing Jar / Tree
Each guest writes a thought or message to the couple on a label / tag. This is then hung on a stylised tree or placed in a jar as a momentum of the day.
Plant a tree – Pot a plant
Could be adapted for and outdoor or indoor ceremony. This act of planting symbolises the growth of the new married life the couple will have together.
Hand, foot or finger prints
As part of the ceremony the baby’s/child’s hand and footprints are made as a keepsake of the occasion.
